HOBART | Three men used forged identification to charge thousands of dollars of merchandise at Westfield Southlake mall stores, police said.

Reginald Doss, 26, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Ulysses Z. Henry, 51, and Charles Walker, 46, both of Chicago, were each charged Monday in Lake Criminal Court with five counts of forgery.

Henry and Walker told Hobart police Detective Garrett Ciszewski that Doss had provided them with fake identification and told them what stores to enter and what items to fraudulently buy, police said.

Both men told police they would be paid with either heroin or cash after they turned the merchandise over to Doss, court documents state.

The men committed forgery between Dec. 19 and Jan. 5 at Sprint Wireless, Macy's, Osterman's, Gander Mountain and Sears, court documents state.
