Hobart Jaycees are bringing back the annual Hobart Halloween Parade in conjunction with the City of Hobart Special Events Committee. This year's event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday along the lakefront between the Third Street Clock Tower and the Lou Kuchta Memorial Bridge to Festival Park.
In addition to the parade, there will also be fun and games in the new Hobart Community Center and a bonfire and DJ music near the Revelli Band Shell. To donate candy or help distribute candy, call John at (219) 781-6102, Rikki at (219) 789-2699 or Tessa at (219) 670-3676.
Hobart residents that want to hand out Halloween treats should turn on their porch lights to welcome little ghosts, goblins and princesses from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Motorists should use extra caution, since many excited children will be on the sidewalks and cross streets in costume.
