HOBART | A 41-year-old Hobart man altered the number of refills while filling a prescription for his girlfriend, police said.
Angel Luis Castro was charged in Lake County court with attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud.
Police were called on Feb. 14 to Walgreens, 732 W. Old Ridge Road, after a pharmacist reported a customer altered the number of refills on a pain medication prescription, court documents state.
The customer, identified as Castro, told police he altered the number of refills because he was trying to help out his girlfriend who was undergoing surgery, court documents state.
