HOBART | A man selling marijuana was robbed at gunpoint recently in Hobart, police said.
Jaime Avila-Perez, 26, Miguel Angel Gutierrez, 20, and Victoria Elise Vega-Cruz, 18, all of Lake Station, were charged with armed robbery and criminal confinement in Lake Criminal Court.
Police were called July 10 by a man who said he was waiting for a customer outside a closed business at Old Ridge Road and North Lake Park Avenue, court documents state.
The female customer, who was meeting with the man to buy marijuana, pulled up in a car accompanied by two men.
The men displayed a gun and ordered the man selling the drugs to lie on the ground, police said.
The suspects drove away after taking money, marijuana, keys and a cellphone from the drug seller, police said.
Responding police spotted the car with the three who had reportedly left the scene and pulled the driver over, court documents state.
The three in the car were identified by the man who had been robbed. The man selling the marijuana was not charged, police said.
