HOBART | Join the BMX community and Race for Life on Saturday at Steel Wheels BMX, 709 North Hobart Road.
The only indoor BMX track in Indiana will host its annual race to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (www.lls.com). Registration for this Double Points race is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with racing immediately following.
Fees for racing are $20 Class or Cruiser, and $5 Open or Strider. USA BMX memberships are NOT required for this race.
To promote racing fun for all ages and proficiencies, a free, monthly new rider clinic will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, offering an ideal way to learn the ins and outs of BMX. Rental bikes and helmets are available.
The track also will be hosting the Old Guns Shootout for all flat pedal riders over 35. Race fees for this open is $10/rider, but tiders must run a regular Class or Cruiser race as well. All proceeds are donated to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Steel Wheels BMX track is a volunteer, nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide BMX racing to the community within its a 40,000-square-foot facility.

Steel Wheels BMX also hosts a Race for the Gold Cup, a triple points qualifier, Sunday, with registration from 9 to 11 a.m. with racing immediately following.
Fees are $35 Class or Cruiser, $60 Class and Cruiser, and $10 Open or Strider. USA BMX memberships are required to race this race.
There is always free admission for spectators.
