HOBART | Ridge View students have discovered the power of spare change through Pennies for Patients. The final donation total of for Ridge View's campaign was $881.57! Ridge View Student Council would like to congratulate Mrs. Synko's third grade class who won the Pennies for Patients donation contest with $154! They have won the pizza party prize from the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Mrs. Allan's and Mrs. Tillery's second grade classes each donated well over $100 as well. Ridge View students are committed to support the (LLS) mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
"I still can't believe something as simple as change you could find in the couch cushions can add up like that!" said Taylor Lollis, fifth grade student.
