The assistant principal at River Forest Junior High School in Hobart won $200,000 from Hoosier Lottery this week.
Ira Zimmer, of Schererville, went to Hoosier Lottery headquarters in Indianapolis on Tuesday to claim his prize.
"I'm going to take my mother to Hawaii," Zimmer said in a statement issued by Hoosier Lottery early Wednesday. "She's 96 and it's the only state she hasn't been to. I'm a history buff, so I'd like to see Pearl Harbor."
Zimmer matched all five numbers in the April 12 Mix & Match game to win the top prize. He purchased the ticket at Cline Avenue Food Mart, 800 E. Ind. 330, Schererville.
Zimmer said he also plans to use his winnings to pay off some debt and contribute to a retirement fund.
