HOBART | The 20th Annual Dam Duck Race will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, at Festival Park during the Lakefront Festival.

Historically, 4,000 ducks have been dumped over the Lou Kuchta Memorial Bridge into Lake George, and the current of the water over the dam has taken the ducks to the finish line. Each duck has a number on the bottom of it which corresponds with a raffle ticket.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Summer Market on Thursdays, in front of the Hobart Post Office on Saturday mornings, Lake George Marathon, Elleny's Bakery and from any Hobart Community Foundation member, as well as during the Lakefront Festival.

"This year, we are the proud owners of brand new ducks, which were donated by Indiana American Water," said Leni Vinzant, Dam Duck Race coordinator.
