“A crimson light twinkles and another life is saved."
Donors and honorees are invited to the Hearts of Hope tree lighting ceremony at 4 p.m. today at St. Mary Medical Center, West Patient Tower Lobby, 1500 S. Lake Park Ave., Hobart.

The Hobart Police Department newsletter warns residents to ask for identification when strangers come to their door. On the phone, never give out personal information to strangers; many homeowners are taken advantage of by companies or workers, paying for work that has not been done or poorly done.
To avoid such cases, before you sign a contract or pay out money, call the Hobart Building Department at (219) 942-1722 to make sure the company is licensed with the city.
