HOBART | Two area men broke into a house in Hobart and stole a television, electronics and baseball memorabilia, police said.

Luke J. McCormick, 19, of Westville, and Damien Alexander Nunez, 22, of Portage, were charged with burglary through Lake County Court.

Police were called on Feb. 20 to a residential burglary in the zero hundred block of East 3rd Street, court documents state.

A resident said he came home to find several items missing, including a television, movies, electronic games, pillowcase covers and baseball memorabilia, court documents state.

A woman who lived at the home told police shad had dated and broken up with Nunez when she discovered he had stolen property and had the habit of transporting stolen items in pillowcase covers.

After Nunez and McCormick were arrested in Porter County for a series of burglaries, police found several of the items taken during the Hobart burglary, court documents state.
