Today is the first day voters may submit an in-person absentee ballot for the 2012 general election.
In-person absentee ballots must be cast at the local county clerk's office. The Lake County Clerk's office is located on the first floor of the county court building, 2293 N. Main Street in Crown Point.
There are three locations to cast an absentee ballot in Porter County. The Porter County Government Center in Valparaiso will be accepting votes from 8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
North County Government Complex in Portage and Chesterton Town Hall will be open for absentee voting Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Voters may also cast an absentee vote through a mail-in form, which is available to be applied for online at www.in.gov.
