CROWN POINT | Jury selection in the upcoming trial of a Lakes of the Four Seasons man charged in the death of a Lake County Jail officer concluded Tuesday afternoon.

Jason Cozmanoff, 43, is accused of failing to stop after a crash that killed jail officer Britney Meux, 25, and injured three other officers as they jogged along 93rd Street on in March 2012. Cozmanoff faces 12 felonies and a misdemeanor count of reckless driving.

Two days of intensive questioning to produce a 12-member jury concluded about 3:20 p.m. Tuesday in Lake Criminal Court.

Opening statements, testimony and presentation of evidence in the case is scheduled to begin about 9:15 a.m. Monday before Lake Criminal Court Judge Salvador Vasquez.

Meux died at the scene. The injured officers were David Murchek, Latasha Johnson and Delano Scaife.
