Munster police assist children in need

The Munster Police Department and Munster Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 147 held its annual "Cops & Kids" holiday shopping program for children in need at Target in Munster. Each year, police officers (assisted by several members of the Munster Fire Department and Munster Police Explorers) volunteer to take children shopping for toys and clothing during the holidays. Approximately 65 children were assisted through the program this year thanks to the donations of many area residents, businesses and community organizations. The Munster Police Department would like to thank the generous sponsors of this year's program as well as Target for providing a grant donation and hosting the event.
