GRIFFITH | Two people were arrested when police raided a Griffith home Wednesday.

Lake Station police obtained the warrant after undercover officers bought suspected crack cocaine at the residence in the 1500 block of East Elm Street.

A 47-year-old man and 56-year-old woman were arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation, police said.

Lake Station police obtained the warrant after officers purchased narcotics in the Lake Station area, which led them to the Elm Street house, police said.

The Northwest Regional SWAT Team and Griffith police aided in the raid. Drug paraphernalia was among the items confiscated from the residence, police said.

The case is being forwarded to the Lake County prosecutor's office.
