LAKE STATION | An attorney from Indiana Legal Services Inc. will provide free legal assistance from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Thomas A. Edison Junior-Senior High School, 3304 Parkside Ave.
As part of the Lake Station Family Stability Project, a special partnership between ILS and the school district, the attorney will meet with parents with civil legal problems that might cause them to remove their children from school and impede their children’s academic progress.
To meet with the ILS attorney, all parents and visitors should use the North Shore entrance located on the east side of the school. A parking lot is located near this entrance. For security purposed, visitors will need to ring the buzzer and identify themselves and their purpose before gaining entry.
While the project will give priority to parents of students of Lake Station schools, area residents are also welcome to talk with the ILS attorney.
