LAKE STATION | A 26-year-old Lake Station man used a gun to threaten three women and three young children, police said.

Benjamin Michael Cuadra was charged with six counts of confinement and six counts of intimidation in Lake Superior Court.

On July 4, Lake Station police were called to a house in the 2400 block of Swanson Street in Portage in regard to an earlier incident that occurred in Lake Station, court documents state.

A woman told police a man she identified as Cuadra had cut in front of her and a friend while they were in line at a Lake Station business, documents state.

Cuadra called the woman names, then followed her to the parking lot, documents state.  Cuadra then entered his own car and pointed a gun at the woman, who was in her car with two other women and three young children, court documents state.

Cuadra drove away, and the woman followed him in an attempt to get his license plate, documents state.

The women followed Cuadra to a house in Portage, where police later arrested him, documents state.
