LAKE STATION | A raid conducted at a house in the 2500 block of Decatur Street resulted in charges filed against a 49-year-old man, police said.

Eric Berrios was charged with one B felony count of dealing in a schedule III controlled substance; two C felony counts of dealing in a schedule IV controlled substance and one D felony count of maintaining a common nuisance.

During a several month investigation, Lake Station police conducted multiple controlled purchases of suspected Xanax and Vicodin from a house in the 2500 block of Decatur Street, Police Chief Kevin Garber said.

The Lake Station SWAT team executed the warrant on Feb. 12 and arrested two men.

Children were present in the house and were turned over the Child Protective Services.

A search of the house was conducted and several narcotics were confiscated, Garber said.
