CROWN POINT | A 26-year-old Lake Station man was sentenced Wednesday to two years in prison after admitting to having sexual relations with two children, ages 6 and 4.

Blas Rojas initially had faced a maximum 50-year sentence on a Class A felony of child molesting. He also was charged with Class D felony child solicitation and faces a maximum three-year sentence.

In a plea deal, prosecutors dismissed the child molesting charge in exchange for Rojas pleading guilty to child solicitation.

The plea agreement calls for Rojas to serve the entire two-year term with no credit days. In addition, Rojas does not have the option of petitioning to reduce the felony charge to a misdemeanor.
