LAKE STATION | Authorities are searching for a man missing from Lake Station since Monday.

Indiana State Police have issued a regional silver alert for Ronald Skertic, 66, who was last seen at Lake Park Residential in the 2000 block of Ripley Street about 9 p.m. Monday.

Skertic has medical complications and has not taken his medication since last seen, Lake Station police said.

Skertic is known to frequent several businesses along Ripley Street, including Burger King and the Road Ranger truck stop, and other businesses on Central Avenue.

Authorities are particularly concerned because Skertic has a regular routine of visiting those businesses, Lake Station Police Chief Kevin Garber Sr. said.

Skertic is white, 5 foot 10 inches and 120 pounds, police said. He has very thin gray hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Lake Station police at (219) 962-1186 or email Djohnson@lakestation-In.gov.
