LAKE STATION | River Forest High School, 3300 Indiana St., will host a Multicultural Fair from 5 to 8 p.m. March 28.

The event is open to the public and there is no entrance fee.

Tickets, which can be used to sample foods at the various booths, will be available starting at $1, French teacher Richard Baron said.

Baron also serves as the head of the school's Department of World Languages and Mass Media.

The food bazaar will include fare from Spain, Greece and Japan. Hamburgers and hot dogs also will be available.

Other activities during the celebration of foreign languages will include an opening ceremony March 22 and performances by foreign language students March 25.

About one-third of the students at the high school take language classes, Baron said.
