The Lake County Traffic Safety Partnership will conduct sobriety checkpoints this weekend in Lake Station and St. John.

The program sets out to remove impaired drivers from roadways.

Drivers at sobriety checkpoints will be required to present their license and registration to officers.

Unless drivers show signs of impairment from drug or alcohol use, they will be delayed about two minutes, according to the safety partnership group.
