LOWELL | The third annual Devils Give Back Car Show is set for Sunday in the north parking lot of Lowell High School.

The student-driven event benefits the high school auto program and the Lowell Food Pantry.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. Judging will be at noon, and the event will end at 2 p.m.

Local celebrity judges include Doc Roberts and Ted Feiffer, of the Valpo Vetts Car Club, and professional nitromethane dragster racer Dave Hirata, of Lowell. They will be judging Best of Show.

"These men will be paired with a high school student, mentoring the process of judging competition vehicles," teacher Leon Simon said.

Simon said Ken Hirata, drag racing legend and recent inductee into the National Hot Rod Hall of Fame, will be honored during the show and available to sign autographs.

There is no admission fee. The public is welcome to view the students' work, Simon said.
