EAGLE CREEK TOWNSHIP | A box truck hauling sewer equipment caught fire Tuesday while its driver was pumping gas at Pilot Travel Center on Ind. 2 near Interstate 65, Lowell firefighters said.

After noticing the fire, the driver moved the vehicle away from the gas pumps, said Charles Scott, assistant chief at the Lowell Fire Department.

The fire was reported about 3:50 p.m. Scott said the truck was engulfed by the time firefighters arrived.

Firefighters haven't determined the cause of the blaze, he said. No injuries were reported.
