LOWELL | Four residential burglaries or attempted burglaries were reported to Lowell police Tuesday and Wednesday.

Another home was burglarized Oct. 15 in the 500 block of Northwood Drive. Approximately $300 in jewelry and cash was taken from that location, Lowell Police Chief Erik Matson said.

Lowell Assistant Police Chief James Woestman said the burglaries this week occurred in the 400 and 600 blocks of Oakley Avenue, the 300 block of Joe Martin Road and the 300 block of East Main Street.

Woestman said it appears the burglaries are related.

Anyone having information on the burglaries should contact the Lowell Police Department at (219) 696-0411. Residents also are asked to report any suspicious persons or vehicles in their neighborhoods immediately to the department.
