LOWELL | A free presentation on the Grand Kankakee Marsh, once known as the Everglades of the North, will be held at noon Saturday at the Lowell Public Library, 1505 E. Commercial Ave.
Syndicated columnist Jeff Manes will discuss "Everglades of the North – The Story of the Grand Kankakee Marsh," a documentary film which explores the diverse ecology and history of one of the largest wetlands in North America.
