LOWELL | National Cancer Survivors Day is June 1, and Hope Center, a ministry of Lowell Church of Christ, will honor those in the community who are living with and beyond cancer.
"We will join hundreds of communities worldwide in celebrating life as part of the 27th annual NCSD celebration," said chairperson Kate Layer. Gatherings will be held throughout the U.S., Canada, and other participating countries, including the Celebration of Life organized by Hope Center in Lowell. "We want to invite everyone to our community’s celebration," she added.
Hope Center exists to provide a safe place for those who are and have been affected by cancer. With the support of other survivors, people can renew their spirit with hope, refresh their faith in Jesus Christ, and discover resources to navigate through pain, recovery and loss.
"We encourage everyone to attend the celebration to show his or her support for our community’s cancer survivors, their families, friends, and healthcare providers," Layer said.
To join the celebration, register by Thursday at www.lcoc-online.org/hopecenter.
