LOWELL | Baseball fans can bid on a 1958 Mickey Mantle All-Star baseball card at the silent auction held in conjunction with The Wonderful World of Wild Animals mural dedication from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Lowell Public Library, 1505 E. Commercial Ave.

Among other items up for bid is an autographed photo of George and Barbara Bush, a copy of "Barbara Bush: A Memoir," autographed by the former First Lady.

Sports figures Shaun Gayle of the Chicago Bears, Austin Collie of the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steeler and Hall of Fame inductee Terry Bradshaw donated autographed photos, as did actress Betty White and actors Robin Williams and Tobey Maguire. Bid on a signed photo by famed fitness expert and bodybuilder Jack LaLanne or a Guster autographed record case and two signed Guster CDs by the American alternative rock band.

The event, hosted by the GFWC Lowell Woman’s Club, also features auction items donated by local businesses.

Entertainment for the event will be provided by Lowell's High Country String Band and country/gospel singers Peggy Hendricks and Jim Kirk.
