LOWELL | Lowell residents reported two burglaries to police this week.

The first was called in at 3:10 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of South Nichols Street.

Police Chief Erik Matson said jewelry valued at about $750 was taken from the home.

The second burglary from a home in the 700 block of Joe Martin Road was reported to police at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Matson said the homeowners are still making a list of what was taken.

Anyone having information on the burglaries should contact the Lowell Police Department at (219) 696-0411. Residents are also asked to report any suspicious persons or vehicles in their neighborhoods immediately to the department.
