LOWELL | When the Town Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday, it will be looking at possibly annexing more than 500 acres south of the town.
Nearly 468 acres, known locally as Carlson Farms, has been recommended for annexation by the Lowell Annexation Committee. An adjacent 40-acre tract owned by local development company Hallmark is also recommended for annexation.
While the land is close to what is known as the Llewellyn property north of Belshaw Road, it is not included in the recommendation.
The council will consider the recommendations for friendly annexation and, possibly, agree to begin the process which allows for public input opportunities.
