LOWELL | Lowell Future Farmers of America students have joined forces with the Lake County Farm Bureau to help fight hunger in Lake County.

A food drive will be held Sunday through Feb. 22. Donations may be dropped off at Lowell High School or any of the five Farm Bureau Insurance offices in Lake County. It will then be delivered to the Northwest Indiana Food Bank in Gary.

The food drive is being held in connection with National FFA Week during which members educate the public about agriculture.

Lowell High has the only chapter active in Lake County. It is led by agriculture teacher Kevin Garling.
