LOWELL | The Legionaries and auxiliary of American Legion Post 101 will host a holiday festival beginning today.
The four-day event will kick off with a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. tonight on the Legion grounds at 108 1/2 E. Commercial Ave.
The Knights of Columbus of St. Edwards Church, Lowell, will be at the fryer and cooking up chicken tenders as well. The evening will include a blues band.
On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the festival's food vendors will include pork chops from the South Lake County Republicans, Cold Stone Creamery ice cream, offerings from Town Pub Pizza and Boy Scout Troop 101's hog roast.
During the weekend, kids' games and a bounce house are available for the younger set while horseshoes and beanbag tossing are planned after 2 p.m. each day for the adults.
Live music each of the festival days will include Bob "The Milkman" Federson and Friends, Billy Wayne Hancock and reggae performers.
A disc jockey conducts a karaoke contest after 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
A beer wagon will be open, vendors will be selling various items and a white elephant sale will be held throughout the festival.
