Lowell man hit with five counts of stalking
CROWN POINT | A Lowell man was charged Tuesday with eight criminal counts in connection with the alleged harassment of two Lowell High School students.
The charges against Dustin Frampton, 21, include five counts of felony stalking, single felony counts of intimidation and criminal confinement and a single misdemeanor count of harassment.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the students contacted a Lowell High School official the morning of Jan. 11 after Frampton used his pickup to block one of the students from moving her car on her way to school. Frampton is alleged to have demanded the whereabouts of another student, whom he threatened to have killed.
The affidavit states authorities have reviewed 15 reports on Frampton by Lowell and Lake County police alleging Frampton to have repeatedly harassed one of the students and her family, destroying their property and violating a protection order issued by Lake County courts.
Frampton has been charged with two counts of domestic battery in connection with the girl and her family issued by Illinois courts, the affidavit states.
