LOWELL | The Lowell Parks Department is holding its 11th ANNUAL AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST TIME and PLACE: Friday May 2, from 6-8 p.m. Open House for public viewing at the Lowell Town Hall 501 E. Main Street EVENT SUMMARY: An opportunity for you to show off your best amateur photography work. 1st –4th place ribbons will be awarded in each category and age division and participation certificates will be awarded to all entries. Judging will take place on May 1st with an Open House on May 2nd.

Categories: Nature Scene, Wildlife, Pets, People, Still Life, Sports, Architecture, Historical, Artistically Enhanced, Lowell Parks and Open Age Divisions: Grade School- 1st-5th grade, Middle School- 6-8th grade, High School- 9th –12th grade, and Adult Contest Rules: Entries must be submitted by April 26th at the Lowell Parks Office. All photographs need to be taken during April 2013-April 2014 (except for Historical category) 8 X 10 photograph presented in a plastic sleeve (no matting or frames) with name, address, phone number, age division, category, color or black and white written on the back of the entry. One entry per category.
