LOWELL | Will Danny and Sandy ever get together? Travel back to the 1950's with drive-in movies and hot rods to find out in the Lowell High School production of the musical "Grease."
Performances of this high-energy stage production are set for 7 p.m. Thursday and March 22 and 23, with a matinee to close the show at 2 p.m. March 24 in the LHS Auditorium, 2051 E. Commercial Ave.
Tickets will be sold at the door, and cost $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
It's the classic tale of boy meets girl, boy wins girl, boy and girl break up and - you guessed it - boy and girl reunite to the tune of "We Go Together."
After a successful run on Broadway, the show became a 1978 hit movie starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John and popular songs "You're The One That I Want," "Greased Lightnin'" and "Hopelessly Devoted to You."
The cast includes: Danny Zuko - Jared Cottingham, Sandy Dumbrowski - Kaley Lewis, Betty Rizzo - Brannon Geist, Frenchy - Lynn Galliher, Marty - Victoria Crum, Jan - Emma Cook, Patty Simcox - Annie Kennelly, Kenickie - Jacob Lang, Roger - Mason Reffett, Doody - Josh Haddon, Sonny LaTierri - David Nadolski, Eugene Florczyk - Michael DeVries, Vince Fontaine - Jacob Hesse, Johnny Casino - Tony Mulanzia, Teen Angel - Jack White, Miss Lynch - Connie Vendl, and Cha-Cha DiGregorio - Kayla Sheets.
The ensemble is composed of James DeVries, Tony Malanzia, Jack White, Jacob Hesse, Morgan Farrell, Jeannine Linskens, Monica Parilac, Nikki Duncan, Hailey Langmeyer, Dani Francis, Victoria Wynsma, Cheyenne Pociask, Veronica Miller, Alexis Kien, Mikaela Goldsmith, Frankie Clifford, Vicki Miley, Ashley Lantz and Liza Kouns.
Patrice Martin is the technical director, Teri Rickaby is the musical director and Colleen Peluso serves as dramatic director. Mikayla Blievernicht is the student director, and Jeannine Linskens is the dance captain.
