LOWELL | Lowell police arrested six teenagers for underage drinking around midnight Friday.
Police responded to the home in the 200 block of Clinton Street after receiving a complaint about underage drinking on the premises.
Shelby L. Downen and Mitchell E. Lewis, both 18 and of Lowell, were arrested on charges of minor consumption and released after posting bond.
Police said four juveniles, all 17 years old and from Lowell, were released at the scene to guardians and later charged in Lake County Juvenile Court with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor.
