Pantry on the Go stops in Lowell

LOWELL | The Pantry on the Go stops from 3 to 5 p.m. at the VFW Memorial Post 6841, 17401 Morse St. Free grains, fruits, vegetables, dairy and protein are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last for those in need of food assistance. Bring bags or boxes to carry items home. This service is available to all Northwest Indiana residents in need of food assistance. Bring valid proof of Indiana residence (driver’s license, state ID, utility bill, etc.) for service.

Munster Chamber heads to RailCats

GARY | The Munster Chamber of Commerce has an outing to the RailCats game from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The $25 ticket price includes a pregame picnic and a box seat. North Township freedom run steps off

HIGHLAND | North Township's Run 4 Freedom 5-Miler steps off at 6 p.m. at Wicker Memorial Park Pavilion, 2215 Ridge Road.  Registration begins at 4:30 p.m. All registered participants will gain free entry to a concert by Jimmy Buffett cover band Gone to Paradise at the Wicker Park Social Center immediately following the race. Fireworks will also take place during the concert. American Red Cross Blood Drive will accept blood donations at the Wicker Park Clubhouse from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on race day. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. Cost is $20 ($18 for CRS members). RSMT celebrates 50 years of music

HOBART | Ross Summer Music Theatre is celebrating 50 summers of musicals and in keeping with that theme, the youth camp will be performing songs from the past 50 years of musicals. The performance will be complete with videos and slides. Cost is $8. Shows are at 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at Center Stage Studio Theatre, 227 Center St., Hobart.

Program aids Wounded Warriors

HIGHLAND | The Silver Buckle Saloon, 8355 Indianapolis Blvd., Highland presents American Made Throwdown, a weekend filled with live country music. The $5 entry fee benefits the Wounded Warrior Project. Logan Mize performs at 9:30 p.m. Friday and JJ Lawhorn performs at 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5.
