Altrusa donates towards Lake County Public Library Story Times

MERRILLVILLE | The children's department of the Lake County Public Library, 1919 W. 81st Ave., Merrillville, accepted a $300 donation from the Altrusa International Inc. of the Indiana Dunes to go towards a the "Mother Goose on the Loose" story time for babies and toddlers held at the library locations twice a month.

This program promotes speech development, motor coordination, and social skills. The grant allows the Lake County Public Library to present each participant with their own board book to encourage reading and parental and child interaction at home.
