MERRILLVILLE | The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority, in partnership with Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza, will be hosting their Bring It Home Hero Ambassador Reception on March 21 at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza.
The ambassador reception invites members from associations and organizations to learn about creating a positive economic impact in our community by bringing meetings and events home to the South Shore. Events hosted in the South Shore create more jobs and increases visitor spending in our area.
The 2012 Bring It Home reception was able to help ambassadors book conferences in the South Shore through 2015 and created an estimated economic impact of $317,500. Various meetings and conferences during 2012 contributed an economic impact of $2.6 million.
This year’s reception will host representatives from many different organizations, and will build relationships to give the representatives support in planning and bringing their next event or meeting home.
