Walter Cook Insurance Agency invites you to join them from 5 to 7 p.m. today as they celebrate the remodeling of its office at 7199 Broadway, Merrillville.

Also, Collard Family Dental, One Professional Plaza, Suite 206, Crown Point, invites Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce members come in and meet Dr. Collard and her team from 5 to 7 p.m. May 14.

Both events promise to offer guests a fun evening of networking and delicious refreshments. Each event will also feature a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m.

Crafts show set

The Town of Merrillville is hosting a craft show from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18 at Merrillville Town Hall, 7820 Broadway. The Merrillville Parks and Recreation Department is still accepting applications for vendors. Call Caryn at (219) 980-5911.

Farmers Market to open

Mayor Dave Uran’s Office of Special Events will open the 2013 Farmer’s Market on June 1, and applications for vendors are being accepted.

They are seeking vendors who offer a variety of produce, herbs, meat, dairy, etc. The vendor space cost for the season is $240.75, including Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 1 through Sept. 29 on South Main Street between Walnut Street and Hack Court. A Hole Lot Of Fun

Looking for a great way to promote your business or organization? Consider sponsoring a hole, tee or green at the Crown Point Community Library's Mini Golf Event on June 1.

The first two floors of the new library will be transformed into a 18-hole miniature golf course for the day. A special “19th hole” will be located in the meeting rooms, where there will be food, games and more. For more information, contact Laura Clemons at (219) 306-4599.
