MERRILLVILLE | Lake County Public Library is offering digital open house programs at all of its branch locations for the public to have their questions answered about how to download free eBooks, music, audiobooks and databases from compatible devices with their library card.
Library trainers will be available at each program for one-on-one interaction and library patrons are encouraged to bring in their own laptop, eReader, or any other wi-fi compatible device. The public may stop in any time during the open house.
The Lake County Public Library has more than three million downloadable songs from 10,000 labels, more than 28,000 eBooks, more than 6,000 digital audiobooks, and moire than 60 full-text digital resources or databases covering business, genealogy, current events, literature, health and more.
Open houses have already be held at the Dyer-Schererville and Munster branches.
Remaining open houses are Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m., unless noted:

April 3 - Highland branch, 2841 Jewett St.,
April 10 - Griffith branch, 1215 E. 45th Ave.,
April 17 - 4 to 6 p.m., Black Oak branch, 5921 W. 25th Ave., Gary
April 24 - Lake Station-New Chicago branch, 2007 Central Ave., Lake Station
May 1 - Hobart branch, 100 N. Main St.,
May 8 - Cedar Lake branch, 10010 W. 133rd Ave.
