MERRILLVILLE | Four nationally-renowned trainers will present workshops Tuesday to help those who work with children, thanks to the Indiana Youth Institute.

Attendees can choose between two different workshops for the morning session and three workshops for the afternoon session. Morning sessions will run from 9 a.m. to noon, while the afternoon training runs from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Geminus Corporation, 8400 Louisiana St.

Morning choices are: “When Consequences Don’t Work: Succeeding with Difficult Students” and “Indiana Quality Mentoring Standards: A Readiness Workshop for Program Participation.”

Afternoon topics are: “Their Money, Their Rules: What You Need to Prepare a Successful Grant Proposal;” “Holding Back the Tide of Dropouts;” and “Indiana Quality Mentoring Standards: A Strategy Workshop for Program Implementation.”
