The public will also be able to join the Indiana Association of Building Officials as professional members during the exhibitor show. Professional memberships is open to any firm or individual involved in the building industry, building technology, or related trades supporting code enforcement and life safety.

Throughout the conference, members will be able to select from a variety of educational classes with topics in plumbing, electrical, structural, building steel, building design and product specific classes such as insulation and spray foam.

The Indiana Association of Building Officials started in 1946 with the mission to provide support and education to its members. Members receive educational material, are able to attend classes and conferences and receive a member directory allowing them to connect with other professionals for insight and assistance. According to Jason Burks, president of IABO, education and networking are very important to the building industry because it allows for constant learning and the ability to reach out to other professionals.
