MERRILLVILLE | Merrillville police are seeking information about an Oct. 11 drive-by shooting that injured a 41-year-old Merrillville man.
Four to five shots were fired from a tan or beige 1990s Ford Contour or Ford Taurus about 9:30 p.m. Oct. 11 in the 7900 block of Wilson Street, Merrillville police Detective Cpl. Joe Cooper said.
The shots traveled into a home, striking the 41-year-old homeowner in his arm, Cooper said.
The homeowner was treated at a local hospital, and he has since been released, Cooper said.
Police believe the shots were intended for a person who wasn't at the home when the incident occurred.
Cooper said police are unsure how many people were in the vehicle during the shooting.
Besides the vehicle description, no additional suspect information was available.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Cooper at (219) 769-3531.
