MERRILLVILLE | The Town Council voted 5-1 on Tuesday to seek proposals from companies that could update Merrillville's website.

Councilman Tom Goralczyk said the calendar on the website doesn't include town meetings and events. He also said photos on the website are several years old.

Councilman Richard Hardaway opposed the decision.

He said there should have been discussion with Assistant Police Chief Jim Donohue before the town began to seek the proposals. Donohue currently handles the website for Merrillville.
