MERRILLVILLE | Danielle Hill’s sixth grade blue team math students had a lesson in Pi on March 14.
Each student wrote a number that makes up Pi on a colored piece of paper and linked them together in order. You cannot catch a bubble and measure it before it pops. But you can catch it on a piece of paper, measure, and figure out how big it is.
The day ended with everyone having a piece of their favorite pie while they watched Dan Schiefer, the sixth grade blue team science and social studies teacher taking a pie in the face. He picked the winning students name from a pile that had students who earned all their points for the week. Colin Campbell was the lucky winner.
All learned about Pi and had a piece of the pie.
