Multiple burglaries reported at apartment complex

MERRILLVILLE | Electronics were taken in three separate burglaries at an apartment complex in the 5700 block of Grant Street, according to Merrillville police reports.

A television, PlayStation 3, DVD/Blu-ray player and Nintendo DS were stolen between 8 a.m. Friday and noon Saturday from one of the apartments.

Between 4 p.m. Friday and 4:15 a.m. Saturday, a television, iPod, computer and cash were taken from another unit.

A television and a computer were taken between 6 and 7:20 p.m. Friday from the third unit. A door to that unit was broken during that burglary, a police report states.

The manner in which burglars entered the other apartments wasn't available.

Jim Lilley, Merrillville's chief of detectives, said there are no suspects in the burglaries and police are uncertain if the incidents are related.
