MERRILLVILLE | The town is in the process of updating its engineering standards.
Zoning Director Dorinda Gregor said Merrillville's exiting standards are about 20 years old.
The Plan Commission on Tuesday recommended the proposed updates, which would make some existing standards consistent with federal and state regulations, according to Robinson Engineering.
Gregor said the proposed changes move to the Town Council for its review.
