MERRILLVILLE | Traditional Serbian food, music and dancing will be featured during the three-day Serb Fest.

The festival is open from noon to midnight today and Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 9191 Mississippi St. Dancing is until 9 p.m. Sunday.

Roasted lamb, pig, chicken and Serbian sausages can be purchased, according to the church. Stuffed cabbage, strudel and nut rolls also will be available there.

Live music and performances by the Serbian Youth Folk Dancers are among entertainment provided at the event. Visit www.localbizblogs.com/stsava for a complete listing of scheduled performances.

Church tours will be provided throughout the festival. Yvonne Orlich, the church board president, encourages people to "stop by and take in our beautiful Serbian culture," she said in a new release.

The Images of Faith exhibit will be open in the Serbian Cultural Museum inside the church. Frescoes and icons of the Orthodox faith will be on display.
