MERRILLVILLE | The Business and Professional Women (INFBPW-Merrillville/Duneland) hosts a dinner meeting and presentation by Kathy DeGulio-Fox, director of the Purdue Technology Center of NW Indiana from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Patio Restaurant, 7706 Broadway, Merrillville. Mardi Gras Spaghetti Feast
GRIFFITH | The Knights of Columbus offer a Mardi Gras Spaghetti Feast from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1400 S. Broad St., Griffith. The menu includes spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad and garlic bread. Homemade desserts will complete the meal. This event will have a free will donation box set up, with all proceeds going to Share Foundation in support of the villagers and campers of Sharing Meadows.
Pancakes, sausage served
DYER | Zion United Church of Christ serves a pancake and sausage supper from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church, 14804 W. 113th Ave., Dyer. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12, free to those 5 and younger.
Elks offer Fat Tuesday spread
HIGHLAND | The Highland Elks serve a Fat Tuesday dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 3120 45th St. The menu is red beans and rice with sausage, chicken etouffee, shrimp gumbo, Cajun pulled pork, cabbage, edamame and pineapple salad, corn bread and dessert. The cost is $12 for adults, $7 for children 7 to 12 years old.
Roz Varon keynotes luncheon
MUNSTER | Roz Varon, Emmy Award winning traffic/transportation reporter is the keynote speaker for the Share the Love Event from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster. The are vendors for the entire program and lunch at non. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Cancer Resource Centre. Cost is $50. Crockpot chefs cook-off
CROWN POINT | Bethel Church sponsors a crockpot cook-off from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the church, 10202 Broadway, Crown Point. It's a fundraiser for the church's student ministry, to raise scholarship funds for middle school and high school students going on mission trips all over the world.There is no charge for attending the cook-off, though donations are appreciated. HIGHLAND | The Historical Society turns back the clock with The Old Time Radio Program, presented by Andrew Finick, from 2 to 3:15 p.m. at the Lincoln Center, Room 108, 2450 Lincoln St., Highland.
