MERRILLVILLE | Two businesses have been granted zoning requests from the Town Council.
Jeff Myszak received a variance to open the Indiana Elite baseball and softball facility at 8224 Wright St.
Batting cages, lessons and clinics are among the features that will be offered at the business, which will be open to youths and adults.
Myszak said he also intends to provide charity work through the business.
CNA Academy received a special exception to move the school to 8300 Broadway.
CNA Academy provides training for certified nursing assistants, EKG technicians and other positions.
The school outgrew its previous location in 7800 block of Broadway and is expanding the training it provides, town leaders said.
